Kinigopoulos has been doing make-up and hair for a million, trillion
years…Okay…maybe not that long, but it's as if she's done it all
her life! It started when she was 18, when during college, she got
a job at Bloomingdales in the make-up department. Talk about a kid
in a candy store. For the first few days, every cosmetic line was
represented (at the same time) on her face!
After learning so much from those fabulous counter
ladies (with a style only they could have), Janice washed her face
and knew there was something more waiting for her in lipstickland…
She decided to pursue work in the editorial and
film business, and did just that.
Getting her first break on a made-for-TV movie,
Janice soon moved onto other projects and has worked with such celebrities
as Jodie Foster, Liv Tyler, Angela Bassett, Vivica A. Fox, Sheryl
Crow, Paula Abdul, Rita Wilson, Ben Kingsley, Tipper Gore, Gillian
Anderson and Richard Gere.
Her most recent film, Runaway Bride, stars Julia
Roberts and Richard Gere (whose gorgeous locks of hair Janice styled
for the last month of filming).
It seems as if brides and weddings are things
that always surround her. Not just in the movies, but in real life
as well! It only seemed natural to use the expertise she had gathered
from her photography and film jobs and put them to use on the ultimate
production…the wedding!
It was during these years of "wedding mania", that
something occurred to Janice. So many brides would profess to be
confused and frustrated about trying to find make-up information
written just for brides. They all had similar questions and complained
that there wasn't a real place to find the answers. That was when
the ponytail swirled on top of Janice's head (brains a-workin')
and she decided to do something about it!
Enter…bridalbabe.com! You know it's great, because
you're already here! And Bridalbabe, her soon-to- be released book
is just as fabulous and has tons of information. Each chapter features
beautiful photographs and helpful "how-tos" about make-up for your
wedding. Between both projects, an unhappy bride will no longer
exist! (At least in the make-up area. Now about those flowers…that's
another "pot of blush!").
A day in the life of Janice is spending time with
her 2 fabulous kids, Stephen and Alexa (who wish she'd get off the
computer so they can use it!), and her very understanding husband
George, who in his own right knows a good lipstick color when he
sees one.
Between print, film, and TV jobs, she is seeing
the light at the end of the tunnel for her totally cool book, and
can't wait for the bridal world to be a little more beautiful because
of it!
