t was when the umpteenth bride asked Kinigopoulos for a makeup book she could recommend, or a website she could suggest for brides to learn more about makeup, that she realized there weren’t any. Not only could Kinigopoulos not suggest a book about makeup for brides, she couldn’t recommend a simple, effective makeup line designed just for them either. Where could a bride learn how to apply her own makeup for the most important day of her life? Where could brides find resources to share with their professional makeup artists? Where could these professional makeup artists learn the most effective way to do makeup for brides?

Kinigopoulos saw the gap, and knew she had to fill it. Enter
Bridal Babe, Inc. Under this fab umbrella is the award-winning website, bridalbabe.com, created to educate and teach brides/makeup artists how to do makeup for the special day. In addition, Bridal Babe, The Makeup Book for Brides, the only how-to makeup book just for brides and finally Bridal Babe Cosmetics, the coolest makeup kits around made to simplify brides lives ( with a how-to booklet and foolproof colors). With Bridal Babe, Kinigopoulos has created quite a brand. It is an informative, fun, and efficient beauty haven for groovy brides everywhere!

VOGUE
Beauty Insider: "Kinigopoulos has worked as a makeup artist on film sets (including hair for Runaway Bride, naturally), but she liked making up those other divas––brides––so much that she wrote a book about them. The book project led to her bridalbabe.com Web site, a 'how-to enabling every bride tolook as fabulous as a movie star.' "

PEOPLE
Online: "As makeup artist and hairstylist Janice Kinigopoulos has worked with Jodie Foster, Liv Tyler, Angela Bassett and other top celebs. She also styled the locks of Richard Gere for Runaway Bride. But real-life brides, says Kinigopoulos, "are the ultimate divas." In 1999 she launched bridalbabe.com, a site filled with a trio of do-it yourself makeup guides she has dubbed the Princess Babe, the Classic Babe and the Natural Babe. "I wanted to give the resources to look and feel gorgeous," says the mother of two, 39. And to help them avoid her own makeup mishap from her 1984 wedding. "I wore frosty blue eye shadow," she says. "I should have left that in the Slurpee machine."

MARTHA STEWART WEDDINGS
Expert Advice: "On the day of, hair and makeup artist Janice Kinigopoulos of Bridalbabe.com suggests, start with dry hair and set it in hot rollers. 'The heat of the rollers polishes the hair, which adds height and slickness to any hairdo,' she says. If you are putting your hair in an updo or pinning on a veil, Kinigopoulos suggests using baby or matte bobby pins rather than regular ones, which can show. It's also a good idea to keep a few extra pins on hand for last-minute fixes."
