I use a brown liner
on the top and bottom lashes, drawing the pencil ¾ of the way towards
her pupil from the outer corner of her eye. Using my favorite brush of
all time (a thin, flat-tipped brush), I blend the liner, creating a smoky,
smoldery effect. Blending is so important. Otherwise, when eyeliner is
drawn on and not blended...it looks SO deliberate and forced. There is
nothing pretty about that! Now, to intensify her eyes just a smidge more,
I go over the blended eye pencil with the exact brown shadow that I had
used on her brow bone. I just put a little shadow on the very same favorite
brush I used to blend the pencil, and go right on top of the blended pencil.
LASHES The famous, strange looking instrument we call the eyelash
curler is a definite go-go for all bridalbabes. Just be careful, and insert
your top lashes into the open space of the eyelash curler. When your lashes
are resting on the rubber-curved band, close the curler...and press. NOW,
don't make any jerky movements! After that, you can apply your mascara.
Black works for almost everyone, unless you really have white-blonde lashes
(in this case, brown would do the trick). While using the mascara wand,
be sure to push the lashes toward your brow. This reinforces what you
did with the eyelash curler. I always go over the lashes with a mascara
comb. This eliminates the clumpy clumps.
EYEBROWS Remember Rori's eyebrows in the naked face picture? Her
brows were like mismatched mittens! Well, I took care of that eventually.
It looks very nice, and not too done. Here, it's not necessary to add
any color to the brow. The only thing I did do was apply a brow gel (like
a clear mascara) to make them stay in place. Stay! Good brow.
